Amar Venugopal

I am a PhD candidate in Economics at Stanford Unversity with a PhD Minor in Computer Science. My research focuses on applied econometrics at the intersection of causal inference and machine learning, with a particular emphasis on settings with text data and applications to local political economy.

I am a Stanford Data Science Scholar. My work is supported by the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR) and the Stanford HAI Seed Research Grant Program.
